Compound Reorganisation and Dinghy Meeting

Its nearly that time of year again so this is forewarning that you need to make sure that your dinghy is marked with your name, has this year’s stickers on it, the trolley is serviceable with pumped up tyres and that any wheel clamps are unlocked.

More information will be coming out from the Compound Bosun nearer the time but you have plenty of time still to get your dinghy ready for action!

Please note that, due to a club booking later in the day, the pre season dinghy meeting will be taking place before the reorganisation. This meeting will start at 9am in the club house and we will roll straight into the reorganisation from this meeting.

Wysiwig ready for the water

The Club Wayfarer, which was kindly gifted to the club by Chris & Sue Sherrin is ready for the water. Neil Boyce has made a few changes to make it easier to rig and has taken it out for a few test sails. With Easter approaching and the sun showing its face here and there, if you would like to take Wysiwig out, she is ready to go. All sails and sheets are in the boat which is along the right hand fence as you go into the compound.

After the compound reorganisation, we will look to have her as close to the club as possible and on the first few Friendly Fridays, Neil has offered to be present to help rig her for anyone wanting to go out for a sail (possibly excluding race nights when Neil may choose to race).

If you want to use her at any time, just sign her out in the Club Boats diary. If you want to use her for a club cruise or race then you can book her via the online booking system on our website.
